SACRED CISTERN
Explore an underwater cavern and solve water puzzles to escape!
Story: Nik Jam has entered the sacred underwater cavern of the heavens. He needs to find the Sacred Medallion to return to Earth. However, this cavern is full of surprises and dead ends. Can he find his way out?
Location/Setting:The Sacred Cistern, an underwater palace found in Heaven.
Mission Objective: Find the End Medallion at the end of the level
Gameplay Mechanics: Jumping, Running, Shooting
Special Mechanics: Switches that unlock doors, switches that lower and raise water, keys required to unlock doors
About: This was my final project for a Rapid Game Development class at Academy of Art in the Fall 2014 semester. I had four weeks to make an "Exploration" game and this is what I came up with.
The game is too buggy to publicly release, and unfortunately I lost the final Unity build due to hard drive failure. I do have an old backup but it is missing almost all of the game mechanics. You can EMAIL me for a game build.
The musical inspiration for this level is the song "The Child Inside" by Depeche Mode, but I used "Freeze" by Recoil in the original build. An original song "Sacred Palace" was made and dubbed onto the demo videos below.

Abridged Demo
The abridged demonstration of my level sixty seconds of the best moments from my level. The music is dubbed in and I was even able to dub in some sound effects in Pro Tools.

MUSIC
The original build used other people's music, but I put in my own for the Portfolio demonstration. The song "Sacred Palace" appears on the Academy of Art Collection as Track 7.
